Joseph Joe says:

I have a couple of questions. Since this game already has widescreen
support is it still recommended to use a widescreen hack? Also, is there
any hardware hacks like skipdraw that I need to enable like I needed to
with final fantasy x?

I have an alienware i5, cpu 760, 2.80 ghz and 4 gb ram
ATI Radeon hd 5700

I was able to play final fantasy x at three times native resolution fairly

Should I go with 2 x native or 3 x native? At 3 times native I did have a
brief 9 fps drop during the in-game cutscene that plays after you defeat
that big electrical machine that came down from the sky in the beginning of
the game (second enemy that you fight). Is that as worst as it can get,
kind of like the brief fps drops in ff x when you cast magic, or is there
more cutscenes that would drop even lower?

I really want to play Final Fantasy 12 with the higher resolution, but I’m
concerned about fps drops.

I have

Ryan Cooper says:

What is it with people constantly asking if a game will run on there
computer? Simple answer to everyone, If you have a gaming PC (and by gaming
I’m talking about a proper gaming PC, I.e 6-8 cores OC’d, GTX 670 or above,
8-12GBs of gaming RAM, the kind of computer that maxes out the latest games
without breaking sweat etc.., not a dual or quad core using a cheap
graphics card and 2GBs RAM) Then it will should run well, so stop asking,
if it doesn’t then there is a problem that should be addressed. If you
don’t have a gaming PC, don’t bother asking, there is a small chance some
games will run smooth. But emulation needs a powerful computer. If you
don’t have a powerful computer then save yourself some hassle and grab a
second hand PS2 from Ebay. Or just give it a go, see if it works well, do
the research yourself instead of pestering the pcsx2 guys.

Tried this game with my computer I built. CPU usage is very low, like 20%.
Kingston Hyperx blu 4gb 1333mhz
Corsair CX500
WD Caviar Blue 1tb

Diffo need a dedicated GPU >.>. Would an R9 270 be overkill? xD

alonghaircountryboy says:

How would gt 730m fare? CPU is an Intel i7 4500u 3 GHz with the turbo boost
thingie (this is a hypothetical laptop purcbase)

geogeo222 says:

I wonder what scaling was used. My config scales games to my monitor’s
native resolution, and I think it looks somewhat better than this.
I’m also running it with a widescreen fix, so I get a nice FOV increase.

Steely Dan says:

Truly the downfall of the classic, and good, Final Fantasy games.
Final Fantasy X was the last good main-series game (meaning; Not counting
stuff like Type 0 and Crisis Core.)

gunpei says:

Looks so good in 1080p. I’m so tempted to load this up in PCSX2 but I know
I’ll get sucked in and spend 120+ hrs trying to conquer all of it

Ray Ji says:

Oshaoxin says:

Looks like 5% roaming, 15% player-made-choices, 80% story and movie. Will I
buy a game that is only 1/5th a game? Nope. I miss the old Final Fantasy

Viperveteran says:

I have this game running fine in x6 native but whenever I go to the menu my
frames drop to 20

FinalFantisiac says:

I tried playing the game with its CD but the game was just assaulted with
visual errors like shadows being smudged everywhere. That and the fact that
I should have known that the game is completely unplayable via keyboard.

I Am That WhiteBoy says:

I spent at least 400 hours on this game as a kid!

Tyler Walker says:

Where can i find the game how does this work Can i get a link or a video on
how to install this thx :)

xSerenity says:

This game looks so bad compared to ffx. Not talking about the art or
gameplay. just the battle system mostly is terrifying to watch. Like wtf
was he doing at 5:20? he just stands there and it auto attacks? input
command once and just stand there and watch? and then u see random blue
lines from from ppl to the enemy. . .

Din says:

It looks like shit on my PS2 compared to this. My PS2 won’t even work on
modern screens, had to find an old analog tv to get it to work.

RenatoMS DMO says:

Hey there PCSX2team. A question. I have it all fully playable and runs at
full speed but is slows waaaaaaaaaaaaay down then i go to the map or the
menu. Why is that?

Thanks in advance.

74Vidgamer says:

really looking forward to replaying some PS2 classics in HD. this is my 2nd
favorite FF game.
